    The band sets the price, not the colour. Each upholstery option covers one or two Arketipo price categories and is priced at the higher of the two. Once you order, we'll go through Arketipo's fabrics and leathers in your band with you and confirm your exact choice before production starts. If you choose one from the lower-priced category, we refund the difference. Pelle B and Pelle Leonardo leathers are available on request.

    About the design

    Long days and warm evenings invite us to take a moment for ourselves, whether outdoor or in a beautifully designed interior. Kate chair perfectly blends refined design with comfort, available in outdoor version in iroko wood and indoor version in either iroko or open-pore black ash. Created to bring elegance to any space, Kate is a chair that celebrates the natural beauty of materials without overwhelming the environment.

    Materials & specification

    • OUTDOOR VERSION:
    • Structure: solid iroko wood finished with water-repellent vegetable oils.
    • Seat: plywood okumé.
    • Back: zinc-coated metal sheet.
    • Seat upholstery: multi-density expanded polyurethane (T40P and memory foam). In order to improve the resistance to water and moisture, the cushion is protected by a water-repellent and breathable polyester cover.
    • Back upholstery: expanded polyurethane density T40P and water-repellent and breathable polyester cover.
    • Arm height: 68 cm.
    • Seat height: 47 cm.
    • Attention: the upholstery cannot be exposed to constant and heavy rains. We suggest using our protective covers made of breathable and waterproof polyester marine canvas, ideal to prevent mould formation. They can be washed with neutral detergent. Please do not fold wet covers and store them only when dry. To ensure the durability and protection of iroko wood parts, periodic maintenance is required using specific products for outdoor wood. Before carrying out maintenance, it is recommended to remove or protect the upholstered parts.

    Delivery & returns

    Made to order. Each Arketipo piece is made in Florence to your chosen configuration and upholstery. Delivery is approximately 7 weeks from order confirmation. Our team will contact you to arrange a date.

    Cancellations and returns. Because made-to-order pieces are made to your specification, orders cannot be cancelled or returned once production has started, unless faulty. This does not affect your statutory rights.

    Arketipo is a Florentine workshop that brings artisan tailoring to contemporary upholstery. Sofas, armchairs and beds are made to order in Florence, with details such as double-faced cushions, zips and raw-cut leather edges finished by hand.

    Working with designers including Mauro Lipparini, Arketipo pieces are built to be configured: choose the model, size and upholstery that suit your room, and each one is made for you.
