    The band sets the price, not the colour. Each upholstery option covers one or two Arketipo price categories and is priced at the higher of the two. Once you order, we'll go through Arketipo's fabrics and leathers in your band with you and confirm your exact choice before production starts. If you choose one from the lower-priced category, we refund the difference. Pelle B and Pelle Leonardo leathers are available on request.

    About the design

    Soft design meets a new, bold territory, one that captures our ideology when it comes to pure versatility and what it means to live in today’s modern, frenetic age. Ego is a design that does not compromise on the thing that matters most, comfort. Carved, geometric lines provide a subtle personality whilst the oversized seats, back and armrests add to the idea of, excess is best; only done with a pinch of the Arketipo way. Our vision from the very beginning hasn’t changed, we combined, we mixed and we played with materials back then, and we continue to do it today. From the legs, to the down in the armrests, we’ve continued with our journey to make Ego a sofa for today’s modern needs.

    Materials & specification

    • Structure: metal and multilayered wood.
    • Frame padding: non-deformable polyurethane of varied densities (30GRF; 25FEE; 35EM and 65) covered with synthetic lining 200gr and 150gr.
    • Seat cushion padding: polyurethane of varied densities (HR30/35; soff35S) covered with cotton cover.
    • Back cushion padding: quilted cover, outer side in 100% white Gabardine cotton cover, inner side in cotton/polyester mixed fabric, filling with 50% goose feathers and 50% "Fiber Ball" (polyester fibre).
    • Arm padding: quilted cover, outer side in 100% Gabardine cotton cover, inner side in cotton/polyester; filling in virgin goose feathers, inner core in expanded polyurethane (d21).
    • Springing: elastic belts.
    • Seat height: 40 cm
    • Arm height: 55 cm
    • Feet: chromed metal or black nickel or micaceous brown stained metal, h. 15 cm.

    Delivery & returns

    Made to order. Each Arketipo piece is made in Florence to your chosen configuration and upholstery. Delivery is approximately 7 weeks from order confirmation. Our team will contact you to arrange a date.

    UK mainland delivery only.

    Cancellations and returns. Because made-to-order pieces are made to your specification, orders cannot be cancelled or returned once production has started, unless faulty. This does not affect your statutory rights.

    Manzoni e Tapinassi for Arketipo Firenze

    Arketipo is a Florentine workshop that brings artisan tailoring to contemporary upholstery. Sofas, armchairs and beds are made to order in Florence, with details such as double-faced cushions, zips and raw-cut leather edges finished by hand.

    Working with designers including Mauro Lipparini, Arketipo pieces are built to be configured: choose the model, size and upholstery that suit your room, and each one is made for you.
