    About the design

    Spot was designed by Thijs Smeets for Pode in 2019. Each piece is made to order to your chosen configuration and upholstery.

    Materials & specification

    • Inner frame armchair: Steel and beech laminate.
    • Inner frame footstool: Beech laminate and sheet material.
    • Springing seat armchair: Hard steel zig zag springs.
    • Springs back armchair One: Free-sprung sheet material.
    • Springs back armchair Two: None.
    • Springs back armchair Three: None.
    • Filling: HR foam 50kg/m³, covering Leoskin. HR foam 40kg/m³, covering Leoskin. HR foam 30kg/m³, covering Leoskin. Polyether foam 75kg/m³, covering Leoskin. Polyether foam 30kg/m³, covering Leoskin.
    • Foot Basiq: Polished aluminium.
    • Foot Basiq (except footstool): Option: All selected epoxy and lacquer colours.
    • Base Jink: Polished aluminium. Option: All selected epoxy and lacquer colours.
    • Gliders: Black synthetic.
    • Customise options armchair: Seat height + 2 cm via the base. Seat height +4 cm via the base foot Basiq and Jink.
    • Customise option footstool: Seat height + 2 cm via the base (foot Jink).
    • Decorative stitching: Double-stitch and flat seam.
    • Please note: Stretch fabrics cannot be combined with other upholstery materials. However, it is possible to combine colours from the same stretch fabric.

    Optional extras (priced on request)

    • Combination of two upholsteries
    • Seat height +2 cm
    • Epoxy or lacquer colour for the legs or base
    Delivery & returns

    Made to order. Each Pode piece is made to your chosen configuration and upholstery. Delivery is approximately 6 to 8 weeks from order confirmation. Our team will contact you to arrange a date.

    UK mainland delivery only.

    Cancellations and returns. Because made-to-order pieces are made to your specification, orders cannot be cancelled or returned once production has started, unless faulty. This does not affect your statutory rights.

    Thijs Smeets for Pode

    Pode is a brand of the Leolux Furniture Group, based in Venlo in the Netherlands. Its sofas, armchairs, tables, rugs and lighting are designed with a broad group of designers including Roderick Vos, Meike Harde, Thijs Smeets, Yonoh and Claire Vos.

    Most pieces are configurable: choose the model and upholstery that suit your room, and each one is made for you.
