    The band sets the price, not the colour. Each upholstery option covers one or two Arketipo price categories and is priced at the higher of the two. Once you order, we'll go through Arketipo's fabrics and leathers in your band with you and confirm your exact choice before production starts. If you choose one from the lower-priced category, we refund the difference. Pelle B and Pelle Leonardo leathers are available on request.

    About the design

    Striking at one of our most primitive yet powerful emotions, joy, Auto Reverse is a creative expression in the principle idea of touch. A fashion forward concept by Giuseppe Viganò is more than an elegant piece of furniture, it’s one that allows you to play with form and style. Auto-Reverse is not just creative, it shapes the environment you and your ideological mindset lives within. We are inspired by connections and function, what Auto‑Reverse manipulates is that both are needed to create a physical ideology. The cushions are constructed with a four‑way zip allowing you to play with combinations that include leather on one side, fabric on the other. It has a chromatic finish, it plays with the senses, it maintains a discreet elegance.

    Materials & specification

    • Structure: metal.
    • Frame upholstery: non-deformable polyurethane (D35EM + D70) covered with coupled synthetic lining 6mm.
    • Seat cushion upholstery: outer side in 100% white Gabardine 30/20 cotton cover; filling in 65% goose feathers and 35% duck feathers; inner core in expanded polyurethane (PF35).
    • Back cushion upholstery: outer side in 100% white Gabardine 30/20 cotton cover; filling in 65% goose feathers and 35% duck feathers; inner core in expanded polyurethane (T18/S).
    • Armcushion padding: outer side in white Gabardine 30/20 cotton cover; filling in 100% European goose feathers.
    • Springing: elastic belts.
    • Seat height: 43 cm - 48 cm with feet h. 22 cm.
    • Arm height: 60 cm (structure); 74 cm (with arm-side cushion).
    • Feet: metal, finishes: micaceous brown, titanium or brass, h. 17 cm. On request feet can be supplied 5 cm higher at extra cost.
    • Zips: available in the colours of the zip samples.
    • Attention: cushions are reversible and they can be covered with different fabrics and/or leathers. The cover of the structure is always in the same fabric or leather of one side of the cushions.
    • Attention: some units are available in two depths: 103 and 93 cm. In these units the two depths are indicated in the technical drawing. The use as corner unit of the sofas 221 and 316 cm and of the lateral unit 206 cm ONLY in the 103 cm depth is not recommended because the cut of the seat does not coincide with the corner by about 7 cm.

    Delivery & returns

    Made to order. Each Arketipo piece is made in Florence to your chosen configuration and upholstery. Delivery is approximately 7 weeks from order confirmation. Our team will contact you to arrange a date.

    UK mainland delivery only.

    Cancellations and returns. Because made-to-order pieces are made to your specification, orders cannot be cancelled or returned once production has started, unless faulty. This does not affect your statutory rights.

    Arketipo is a Florentine workshop that brings artisan tailoring to contemporary upholstery. Sofas, armchairs and beds are made to order in Florence, with details such as double-faced cushions, zips and raw-cut leather edges finished by hand.

    Working with designers including Mauro Lipparini, Arketipo pieces are built to be configured: choose the model, size and upholstery that suit your room, and each one is made for you.
