About the design

With its tall cushions, angled armrests, and deep seating position, That’s Life evokes a high-modern jazz lounge where one might easily trade glances with a member of the Mad Men ensemble. Autonomous platforms, both soft and rigid, come together in compositions that can be extended in virtually any direction to meet the various needs of domestic arrangement. The artisanally crafted components combine different types of wood with marble in imaginative juxtapositions. Capable of being paired with the upholstered elements in a variety of ways, they inspire an architectural free play that only strengthens the effect of articulated linearity. The gentle volumes of the armrests and backrests widen slightly toward the outer edges, as if beckoning in invitation. The pure, essential design of That’s Life, composed with geometric rigor, is immediately perceptible, and its vivid, layered lines have a dramatic appeal that’s all their own. Frank Sinatra’s immortal “That’s Life” urges all of us who’ve ever been knocked down to pick ourselves up “and get back in the race.” Refreshed and revived by this remarkable sofa, you’ll alight with the verve to do just that.

• Frame upholstery: multi-density expanded polyurethane (D30 + D40) covered with synthetic lining 230gr and coupled synthetic lining 6mm.
• Seat upholstery: expanded polyurethane D30 and memory foam covered with synthetic lining 200gr.
• Back cushion upholstery: downproof 100% cotton cover filled with virgin feathers and inner core in expanded polyurethane (D18/M).
• Springing: elastic belts.
• Seat height: 42 cm
• Arm height: 62 cm
• Feet: metal, finishes: black nickel or varnished micaceous brown, h. 13 cm Accessories:
• Lower top: wood veneered in eucalyptus or zebrano.
• Upper top: - frame in wood veneered in eucalyptus or zebrano and top in Arabesque Grey or Moon Grey marble OR - wood veneered in eucalyptus or zebrano
• Feet and metal parts: finishes: black nickel or varnished micaceous brown. By compositions single feet are replaced by one T-shaped foot. Coffee tables have single feet. Back cushions available in two versions: 1) Type "Modern" with trapezoidal shape. 2) Type "Classic" with rectangular shape.
